About

Bio

James Joseph is a mix engineer and composer based in Memphis, Tennessee. Classically trained in piano from the age of 8, his relationship with music started with a foundation of theory and composition. In his teens, he discovered his dad's old classical guitar, taught himself how to play, and started experimenting with programming and the use of computers as instruments. Throughout college, he studied jazz, toured with various bands, and began recording in studios where he often filled the role of producer.

In an industry that calls for technical precision, James not only meets those demands, but adds invaluable musicality to every collaboration. Because of his background, he's able to stay diverse and help artists find and focus on what makes them original. His work is timeless, authentic and pioneering - resulting in music that nods to the past while still being relevant to the modern landscape.
